Return to Strixhaven, Magic's beloved mage school, and uncover years of mysteries as you explore its hallowed halls and beyond. The five colleges are back, each with their own unique look, feel, and magic focus. As you increase your skills, make academic discoveries and work to prove your college is the best, but beware—second-year knowledge comes with a side of increased danger.
Our six in-store pre-release tournaments will be as follows:
Friday, 4/17 at 3 pm and 7 pm
Saturday, 4/18 at 3 pm and 7 pm
Sunday, 4/19 at 12 pm and 4 pm
There are five versions of the Prerelease Pack for Secrets of Strixhaven, each aligned with one of Strixhaven's colleges: Silverquill, Prismari, Witherbloom, Lorehold, and Quandrix. Each includes a college themed seeded booster and a Spindown™ life counter.
What will you find in your pre-release pack?
Six Secrets of Strixhaven Play Boosters
1 Secrets of Strixhaven Seeded Booster, themed around one of the five colleges
1 Traditional Foil Rare/Mythic Rare card
Oversized Spindown™ life counter
Each player will make a 40-card minimum deck (25-minutes for deck-building) from the 6 booster packs in the pre-release kit! Bring your own lands if you have them. If you don't have lands, you can borrow store lands.
The tournament format is Swiss Draw (i.e. every players plays in all 3 rounds and is paired against a player with the same win-loss record). After three 50-minute rounds of play (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw), we will distribute PLAY booster pack prizes as follows:
9 points - 7 boosters
7 points - 5 boosters
6 points - 3 boosters
4-5 points - 1 booster
